Majorca Villas With No Car Required: Family Guide 2027
Majorca villas with no car required can work well for a family holiday when the beach, groceries and evening meals are genuinely within reach. A private pool gives you somewhere to spend the day, while a well-chosen location keeps routine trips manageable on foot.
The useful question is how each villa will work for your family: getting there from Palma Airport, carrying shopping home, reaching the beach and returning from dinner. This guide compares six properties with a published “car hire not required” label and explains the checks that matter before you book.
Majorca and Mallorca are names for the same island. Five villas below are in the Cala d’Or area; the sixth is in Cala Sant Vicenç in the north. This is a shortlist from one affiliate partner’s collection, rather than a comparison of every villa available on the island.

Quick planning answer: start with a villa whose beach and shop distances both suit your family, price the return airport transfer, and check the actual route on a map. Keep the final accommodation quote and flights separate until the booking summary confirms what is included.

How to choose Majorca villas with no car required
Start with your ordinary holiday day. If you plan breakfast at the villa, a morning swim, lunch at home and dinner nearby, proximity to a food shop may matter as much as proximity to the sea. A villa that suits adults who enjoy walking may feel different with a pushchair, a tired child or an older relative.
- Check both distances. A beach nearby does not tell you where you will buy milk, bread or drinking water. Look up the food shop and restaurants you would actually use.
- Inspect the route. Read the listing’s distances as starting information. Check pavements, crossings, gradients, steps and the property entrance before treating them as an easy walk.
- Plan shopping. Decide whether to make smaller trips, arrange a grocery delivery where available, or budget for an occasional taxi.
- Match the layout to the group. Check internal stairs, separate bedrooms, external access and bathroom arrangements. A property’s maximum capacity alone says little about suitability.
- Keep arrival separate. You still need a workable journey from the airport, including luggage and any child seats you require.
There is a useful distinction inside the listings: some villas appearing in the broader collection have their own car-hire field marked “useful” or “recommended”. We excluded those from this six-property shortlist. We also excluded a property labelled “not required” whose beach was listed more than six kilometres away, to keep this guide focused on nearby everyday amenities.
Six villas to compare for a 2027 family holiday
How to read these prices: these are the advertised 2027 starting rates for the whole villa per week, as shown when checked. They are not quotes for the same travel dates, and do not establish availability for your holiday. Treat them as a way to shortlist properties before obtaining a live quote. Flights, transfers and meals are not included in the villa-only figures below.

Distances are published listing figures, not walking routes measured by VouchersTree. Starting prices can change, and school-holiday weeks may cost substantially more. Bedroom, pool and layout details are explained below.
Use the collection to find a property by name, then confirm its price for your exact dates. A starting rate does not reserve a week.
What to check at each villa
1. Villa Punta Boca — Three bedrooms with a bathroom each
Cala d’Or · Up to 6 guests · 3 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms · Private 8m pool
Three twin bedrooms with their own shower rooms make this a practical option for six people sharing. The bungalow layout also avoids an internal staircase between bedrooms. The listing puts Cala Esmeralda beach closer than the shops, so check how you will bring groceries back.
Before booking: Air conditioning runs on a timer. Confirm the current hours and the route to the shops before booking.
2. Punta Des Port — Beach and shops at similar listed distances
Cala Egos, Cala d’Or · Up to 6 guests · 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms · Private 8m pool
This single-storey property has one double bedroom and two twin rooms. Its advertised beach and shop distances make it a useful starting point for a family that wants both swimming and everyday shopping close by. It has one bathroom and a separate shower room.
Before booking: Air conditioning is listed for the bedrooms. Ask about access to the pool and the walking route with a pushchair.
3. Villa Miguel Angel — Closer to shops than to the beach
Cala d’Or · Up to 6 guests · 3 bedrooms / 2 bathrooms · Private 6.5m pool
The three bedrooms are upstairs, so this is worth considering when everyone in the party is comfortable with stairs. The longer listed beach distance deserves attention if you expect several beach trips a day with children and bags. Shops are closer.
Before booking: The property information specifies air conditioning from 18:00 to 06:00. Reconfirm this for your booking.
4. Villa Casa Marions — Short listed distances, with a layout to check
Cala d’Or · Up to 8 guests · 4 bedrooms / 3 bathrooms · Private 8m pool
Both the beach and shops are listed at 100 metres. Three bedrooms are on the ground floor; the fourth is a separate studio reached by external steps. The layout can suit some larger families, but the studio arrangement needs to work for your group.
Before booking: The listing flags low roof-terrace walls and the need to supervise children. Bedroom air conditioning is timed, listed as 18:00–06:00.
5. Villa El Delfin — Five bedrooms for a larger party
Cala d’Or · Up to 10 guests · 5 bedrooms / 5 bathrooms · Private 8m pool
Five bedrooms with their own bathrooms give a larger party more privacy. Accommodation is spread over two floors. Compare the whole property price with the number of people actually travelling, and remember that a party of ten needs an appropriately sized airport transfer.
Before booking: Bedroom air conditioning is timed. The page advertises a 24-hour option at €30 per day, payable locally; confirm the current charge.
6. Villa Cala — A northern option with a larger pool
Cala Sant Vicenç, Pollença area · Up to 8 guests · 4 bedrooms / 4 bathrooms · Private 15m pool
The advertised base price covers the main house for up to eight people. The description places the property in Cala San Vicente, rather than Pollença old town. Its listed 15-metre pool and nearby shops make it a different option from the Cala d’Or properties.
Before booking: Extra suites for larger groups cost more. The page lists a £1,000 refundable inventory deposit and a 30% booking deposit; confirm the applicable terms.
Which location fits your holiday?
Cala d’Or is the focus of most of this shortlist because the selected pages combine a no-car label with nearby shops and beaches. Compare the actual part of the resort: Punta Des Port is described as being in Cala Egos, while the other Cala d’Or properties have different distances to the centre and beaches. Choose around the places you expect to visit repeatedly.
Villa Cala offers a northern alternative. Its page describes Cala San Vicente, also written Cala Sant Vicenç, and puts it in the wider Pollença area. Check the property pin carefully: staying close to a cove is a different plan from staying in Pollença old town. Trips beyond the immediate resort still need transport.
For the simplest daily routine, use two lists: the places you can reach comfortably on foot, and the trips for which you will arrange transport. If the second list includes nearly every meal and beach visit, reconsider the villa location before paying a deposit.
Getting from Palma Airport to your villa
Arrange your arrival and departure before deciding that you can comfortably skip car hire. A return transfer quote should specify the exact property address, number of passengers, suitcases, arrival time and any child seats. Ask how delays are handled and whether the price covers the return journey.
- Private transfer: request a vehicle for the whole party and luggage. For a larger group, confirm whether one vehicle or several are needed.
- Taxi: check vehicle capacity and local booking arrangements. The official TIB taxi directory lists local services, including Cala d’Or and Pollença.
- Public transport: use the official airport-connections page and route and timetable information to plan the full journey, including the last stretch from the stop to the villa.
Use timetables that cover your actual 2027 dates when available. Check connections against your flight landing time, allow for luggage collection, and confirm the return service reaches the airport early enough. This guide does not promise a direct bus to an individual villa or quote an unverified 2027 fare.

Work out the whole family holiday budget
The headline villa price is one part of the cost. Compare alternatives using the same dates, party size and luggage requirements. For a UK family, keep the calculation in pounds and check how any local euro charges will be paid.
| Budget item | What to include |
|---|---|
| Accommodation | The live villa quote for your dates and full party, including any compulsory charges shown before payment. |
| Flights | Return travel from your chosen UK airport, with the baggage and seating options you need. |
| Airport transport | Both directions, suitable vehicle capacity and the child seats requested. |
| During the stay | Groceries, meals out, occasional taxis, activities and any optional property extras. |
| Deposits and local charges | Separate refundable deposits from spending. Check any applicable local tax, payment timing and refund conditions. |
A useful occupancy calculation: if your confirmed whole-villa quote were £1,180 for a week, dividing it between four people would give an accommodation share of £295 each. Dividing the same quote between six would give about £196.67 each. These are arithmetic illustrations, not bookable per-person holiday prices. Flights, transfers, food and other charges still need adding.
Compare the cost of skipping car hire with a live return-transfer quote plus the local taxi journeys you expect. That calculation may favour different options for a family staying near the beach and a group planning several excursions. Use actual quotes rather than assuming the car-free option always saves money.

Check the property details that affect a family stay
A short beach distance is useful, but the house still needs to work for everyone travelling. The shortlist includes bungalows, upstairs bedrooms and a separate studio; those layouts are worth checking before choosing on price.
- Pool access: ask specifically about any gate or barrier between the living areas and pool. A gated property entrance does not establish that the pool is fenced.
- Young children: confirm cot and highchair arrangements, stair access and the room in which children would sleep. Keep direct adult supervision around the pool.
- Air conditioning: several pages specify timed operation. Check the hours and any extra charge, especially if daytime naps matter to your plans.
- Arrival and departure: compare check-in and check-out times with your flights. Plan food and luggage arrangements for the first and last day.
- Mobility needs: confirm doorways, steps, gradients and bathroom access directly. A single-storey description alone does not establish accessibility.
A practical booking order
- Shortlist two or three properties whose beach and shop routes fit your family.
- Check villa availability and obtain flight and return-transfer quotes for matching dates.
- Confirm the layout, timed facilities, compulsory charges, deposits and cancellation terms.
- Read the booking summary carefully to see whether you are buying accommodation only or a holiday including flights.
- Complete your booking on the external partner’s website once the dates, inclusions and total cost suit you.
For this shortlist, Punta Des Port is worth checking when you want similar listed distances to shops and beach. Villa Punta Boca offers three bedrooms with their own bathrooms. Larger parties can compare the room arrangements at Casa Marions and El Delfin. Villa Cala gives you an option in the north, with different price and deposit requirements. The right choice depends on your dates and the group’s needs.

Frequently asked questions
Can you have a Majorca villa holiday without hiring a car?
Yes, a villa can work for a car-free stay when the places you will use each day are close enough and your airport journey is arranged. Check each property’s car-hire field and actual routes. Plan separate transport for excursions beyond the immediate area.
Which villas in this guide have a private pool?
All six selected properties list a private pool. Pool size, depth and access differ. Confirm the current pool details and any barriers if these are important to your family.
Are the listed villa prices for a whole family?
The comparison uses advertised whole-villa starting rates per week for 2027. A live quote depends on dates and the booking details. A per-person share only makes sense when you divide the confirmed villa price by the number actually travelling, then add the other holiday costs.
Are flights included in the prices above?
No. The comparison labels the figures as villa-only starting rates. Where the booking website offers flights, obtain a separate complete quote and check the items included in the final booking summary.
Does “no car required” mean everything is an easy walk?
It is a listing description, not a route assessment for your family. Check the exact villa entrance, road crossings, steps, gradients and shops you plan to use. Published beach and shop distances should be checked against a suitable walking route.
Can a starting price be used for August or a school-holiday week?
Do not assume so. The advertised rates above were not checked for a single matching week. Enter the dates relevant to your family’s school calendar and request a current quote before comparing totals.
How this guide was researched
VouchersTree checked the partner’s Majorca collection and the six individual property pages on 27 October 2026. We compared car-hire labels, listed beach and shop distances, capacity, published 2027 starting rates and practical layout notes. We have not stayed at these properties or measured their walking routes. Recommendations are based on the published information and the family-planning considerations explained above.
Accommodation specifications and prices can be rechecked through the linked Majorca villa collection. For transport planning, use TIB’s airport information, current route information and the local taxi directory.
